Greenwood Volunteer Fire & Rescue

About Us

We respond to over 200 calls a year. Those responses include medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, hazmat, brush fires, vehicle fires,  structure fires and other types incidents. We also assist the neighboring fire departments when needed.

The members of Greenwood Vol. Fire and Rescue work hard to serve the community. They dedicate long hours to running calls, attending meetings, training and fund raising. You can normally find us improving our skills on Tuesday nights at the station.

Our monthly meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 pm and we invite any of the residents to attend. We have a Junior Fire Program, for teens age 14-18, who want to learn about Fire and EMS. For those who are not passionate about firefighting, but want to help, we  have an Auxiliary. They meet the second Wednesday of the month at 6 pm.

We encourage anyone interested in any of the above groups to contact us at 814-382-2755 for details.
